Property Info
Conveniently located to Yosemite National Park, the Blackberry Inn is a casually elegant bed-and-breakfast where guests enjoy unmatched service and hospitality. The inn's accommodations are spacious and airy, with vaulted ceilings and large windows that bring the beauty of the Sierra Nevada inside. The comfort of cozy chairs, feather beds, and fireplaces invites guests to make themselves at home and rest well after a long day of adventure in Yosemite National Park. The Inn's wraparound porch is the perfect place to relax in a wicker chair and enjoy a glass of wine or lemonade while watching the resident deer, quail, and bunnies meander in the surrounding meadows. Birdwatchers will love the dozens of hummingbirds and goldfinches who flock to the porch's feeders.
Mornings at the Inn begin with fresh fruit, muffins, and hot, gourmet entrees such as spinach and artichoke soufflé, or baked omelets with sausage and peppers. Chocolate chip cookies are baked fresh each day. The innkeepers are Yosemite experts with more than 40 years of experience hiking, fishing, and backpacking in the Sierra Nevada. They will gladly help guests plan their daily activities. **This property requires a two-night minimum stay for all arrivals. | Area Attractions
Plunging waterfalls, stark granite, alpine lakes, pristine meadows, giant sequoia trees, and raging rivers--guests will find them all in Yosemite. From Yosemite Valley's famous waterfalls--three of which are among the tallest in the world--to the towering granite domes and glistening meadows of Tioga Pass, Yosemite is a place that can only be described in superlatives. At 1,200 square miles and 750,000 acres, the park is nearly the size of Rhode Island, and one of the most popular national parks in the United States. The vast majority of Yosemite visitors go to the park in spring, summer, and fall. That means that the winter season is left wide open for other visitors, and they get to see the park at its most peaceful and serene moments. Take a hike, with elevations in the park ranging from 4,000 to 10,000 feet, there is almost always some place to hike where there is no snow on the ground. For a few short, easy strolls, head to Yosemite Valley and walk to the base of Bridalveil Fall or Lower Yosemite Fall, or head up to Mirror Lake. For something more ambitious, make your way to Vernal or Nevada Falls or ascend all or part of the trail to Upper Yosemite Fall. Or, just try ice skating or snowshoeing for fun. Whatever guests choose to do they will find plenty of fun and entertainment in the area. |
